It was a large turn out for what could have proven to be our most vital match yet, but alas victory was once again snatched from the worlds greatest volleyball team (extreme past-tense from when we were all eight-foot tall and built like China).

Opening debuts for Sian (no fear) Roberts

Our sponsors wait in the wings for magic to resurface
The time for action was there, unfortunately we had forgot to pack the capacity.

The Casualties emerged from the tunnel with a glint in their eyes, knowing shortly the battle for supremacy would once again be upon them, facing their ultimate rivals Arena aka. The dark and slightly rustic smelling ones. The first set went in favour of Arena in a 21-25 win and we were quick to bring on the youth and talent for set two; a strategy designed to win back tactical advantage and disrupt the baddies forthwith. It worked, with some excellent covering, pickups and jaw-breaking hits we clawed a set back.

It was a sad story from then on as all the hard work from set two disappeared faster than a chicken's 'will to live' in a KFC production facility. Set three was bad, set four was worse. At one point Casualties started to bring back some points and hope was momentarily restored but then Big Dave was reeled back in to upgrade the hitting capability of Arena ten fold and once more we fell. Not even our secret weapon Sian acting as on-court team totty could put them off. Our sponsors at the Extreme Channel are calling for more extremist, elitism and foulplay (including pyromania in the opositions shorts) to restore confidence else they fear for our future partnership. Champagne is on this occasion reserved for people only with skin and not victory!
